Joy is this season of the year, and wishing joy to everyone.
Joy is what children bring to us. Joy is also what the music is about. It is what we bring to our audiences and in doing so, to ourselves. Those of us working in the entertainment industries know that our main pay-off for the hours of practice, memorization exercises and rehearsals is the joy that we see in the faces of the folks watching our shows.
What I'm rambling about is the ease with which we can fill our days counting plateaus not reached while ignoring wondrous blessings that come into our lives. Those blessings are there, right in front of each of us. All we have to do is look in the faces of our love ones, our friends, our audiences.
"Jazz" is the name of my grandson and "Jazz" is the music I love to sing. I'll continue to offer you news of gigs, changes and additions to my schedule. I’ll wish you the kind of good luck and joy that I've found on my musical odyssey.
